Creating Your Account
Open the Parent App
Launch the Knooty Parent app on your device.
Enter Your Phone Number
Type your phone number including country code. This will be used for authentication.
Verify with Code
You'll receive an SMS with a verification code. Enter it to complete setup.
Complete Your Profile
Add your name and other details to personalize your account.
Adding Your Kids
Tap "Add Child"
From your dashboard, find the "Add Child" button.
Enter Child's Information
Provide their name, age, and create a unique 6-digit passcode they'll use to login.
Set Starting Balance
Choose how much virtual money your child starts with (typically $100-$5,000).
Share Login Info
Give your child the passcode. They'll use your phone number + their passcode to login.
Security Note: Keep passcodes private and unique for each child. This ensures their portfolios stay separate and secure.
Monitoring Progress
As a parent, you can:
View all your children's portfolios in one place
See a family leaderboard showing who's performing best
Review transaction history for each child
Track which lessons they've completed
View achievements they've earned
Add or remove funds from their virtual accounts
Parental Controls
Budget Limits: Set maximum amounts for individual trades
Account Balance: Adjust starting balance or add/remove funds
Trading Permissions: Enable or disable trading for specific children
Learning Requirements: Require lesson completion before trading

Open the Kid App
Launch the Knooty Kids app on your device.
Enter Parent's Phone Number
Type the phone number your parent used when signing up.
Enter Your Passcode
Type the 6-digit passcode your parent created for you.
Start Learning!

When you first login, you'll see:
Portfolio Value: Total worth of all your investments
Today's Change: How much you gained or lost today
Performance Chart: Visual graph of your portfolio over time
Your Holdings: List of stocks you own
Quick Actions: Buttons to trade, learn, or view achievements

How to Buy Stocks
Go to Trade Screen
Tap the "Trade" button from your dashboard.
Search for a Stock
Use the search bar to find companies. Try "Apple" or "AAPL".
Review Stock Details
Look at the current price, chart, and company information.
Enter Amount
Type how many dollars you want to invest (fractional shares supported!).
Confirm Purchase
Review the details and tap "Buy Now" to complete the trade.
How to Sell Stocks
Go to Portfolio
View your current holdings.
Select a Stock
Tap on the stock you want to sell.
Choose Amount
Decide how much to sell (partial sales allowed).
Confirm Sale
Review and tap "Sell Now" to complete.
Understanding Prices: Stock prices change throughout the day. The price you see is real and updated in real-time during market hours (9:30 AM - 4:00 PM ET, Monday-Friday).
